The varsity volleyball team avenged 2 of their 5 losses in route to running the table to claim the overall GWOC title. The Lady elks beat Beavercreek on the road Tuesday to set up a showdown at Lebanon on Thursday for the overall GWOC title. Lebanon entered the game as the #1 seed in the upcoming Sectional tourney and an overall record of 20-1. The Lady Elks entered with a 16-5 overall record.
The contest was played in an outstanding environment as Lebanon had a tremendous crowd anchored by a great student section. The Elks also brought a great crowd. The play on the court did not disappoint. Both teams were outstanding and the level of play was incredible. The Lady Elks fought very hard and was able to win 23-25, 25-16, 25-27, 25-18, and 17-15. By knocking off Beavercreek and Lebanon the Elks were able to hopefully gain the confidence needed to make a deep tournament run. The Elks will play at CHS in Sectional Tourney play on Tuesday October 15th at 6:00 pm against Wayne.
