Varsity Girls Softball · Lady Elks Bury Firebirds for 6th Straight Win

The varsity softball team won their 6th consecutive game on Thursday night by burying rival Fairmont, 16-0, in five innings.  The team impressed the crowd on hand for CBSL Night with timely hitting, great defense and exceptional pitching.  Junior Mollie Paulick smacked a 3-run home run and Freshman Amanda Ross hit one off the top of the fence for a triple to lead the 19-hit Elks attack.  The JV team also defeated Fairmont tonight on the road, 7-1.

Now 9-5 on the year and 6-0 in the GWOC Central, the Elks return to the diamond on Saturday afternoon at West Carrollton High School where they will play the Springboro Panthers at 1:00 and then the host Pirates at 3:00.  The JV team hosts West Carrollton on Saturday in an 11:00 and 1:00 doubleheader.
