The varsity softball team traveled to Huber Heights last night and handed the Warriors a 12-3 setback. Junior Mollie Paulick was the winning pitcher and also set a new school record by hitting three home runs while freshman Olivia Ferrazza also went 3-3 to pace the Elks 18-hit attack. The win improved their record to 13-8 overall and 8-1 in the GWOC Central. It also clinched at least a share of the division title. The two teams play again tonight at CHS at 5:00 PM on Senior Night. If the Elks win they will be the outright GWOC Central Division Champions. This would be the second consecutive title for the Elks as they shared it with Northmont last season.
The JV team made it a perfect night for the softball program by blanking the Warriors at home, 10-0. They travel to Wayne HS tonight for a 5PM game.
