Varsity/Reserve Boys Cross Country · Boys Cross Country Runs Well at Regional, Comes Up Just Short


The Centerville Men’s Cross Country Team headed to Troy this past Saturday to compete in the OHSAA Division I Southwest Regional Meet. Although they fell short of their state bid, they finished 7th overall in a region that has typically dominated the state meet in years past. The Elks were represented by Ethan Emmert (36th), John Salzman (42nd), Matt Nerlinger (46th), Andrew Craig (50th), Kyle Westhaus (69th), Kevin Cross (86th), and Jack Welsh (105th).

Although their run to States is over, please be sure to congratulate the athletes on a great season and a good post season push, finishing better than predicted.

Next up for the the top JV and Varsity runners is the Nike Midwest Championships, which will feature over 800 runner per race from IN – IL – OH – MI – MO and give the team a more multi-state regional exposure.
