Varsity/Reserve Girls Cross Country · Girls Cross Country Claims 2nd Straight State Title, Led by Studebaker

On a beautiful, late fall day at National Trail Raceway, the Centerville Girls Cross Country Team repeated its victory for a second year as Ohio’s DI Girls Cross Country State Champions! The team was led by individual state champion, Lainey Studebaker (1st, 17:39), Kelli Walsh (23rd, 18:43), Taylor Malchow (26th, 18:49), Savannah Lowe (29th, 18:52), Rachel Whitehead (31st, 18:53), Allison Fick (44th, 19:09), and Grace Kilroy (96th, 20:11). Lainey’s time of 17:39 set a new course record at National Trail Raceway and gave her a 2nd Cross Country Individual State Champion Title!

Together, this team of runners, with focus and determination, captured a back-to-back State Championship, and once again the podium was filled with the entire team smiling and embracing as ONE. This 2015 CGXC team truly ROLLED ON this season!

A HUGE congratulations to Coach David Dobson and the entire coaching staff who have created a very unique environment for these runners which has allowed them to enjoy this incredible level of success! CONGRATULATIONS to these wonderful young ladies on this outstanding accomplishment!
