The varsity softball team answered the bell on Friday, coming off of their only home and league loss of the season to Northmont on Wednesday they traveled to WSU on Friday to take on a very solid Greenville. The Lady Elks came away with a 2-0 victory over Greenville and senior pitcher Mollie Paulick ws able to break the all-time career strike-out record for a pitcher at CHS. The win puts the varsity girls at 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the GWOC Central.
On Sunday the girls earned the #3 seed in the upcoming OHSAA D-I Sectional Tourney. The girls will play at home on Wednesday May 11th at 5:00 pm against the winner of Sidney/Tecumseh.
The regular season continues tonight as the varsity team hosts Wayne tonight at 5:00 pm. This is senior night for the girls so come out and give this team the support they deserve.
