The 40th annual Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony was held in the Centerville High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday night. In order to be honored as a scholar-athlete, a junior or senior must have earned a varsity letter during the year and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher through five semesters for juniors or seven semesters for seniors. 113 first year juniors and 40 first year seniors were presented with their medals in recognition of their hard work while 92 seniors were presented with plaques symbolic of having won the award for two consecutive years.
There were also several special awards passed out as well. Below is a list of the awards along with the winners:
