Varsity Girls Softball · Softball Falls to Unbeaten Lebanon

Whenever you see Lebanon on your softball schedule, you know you are going to face a very explosive, well-coached team who is fundamentally sound defensively and always has great pitching.  That was just what the young Centerville varsity team got last night when unbeaten Lebanon rolled in to CHS.  The Elks played well, but Lebanon’s experience and timely hitting was too much for them to overcome as they suffered a 7-1 defeat.  The JV team went on the road to Lebanon and did not fare any better, falling 17-0 in a game shortened to five innings by the run rule.

Now 2-10 on the year, the varsity is back at it on Monday afternoon when they host the Stebbins Indians at 5:00.  The JV team travels to Stebbins on Monday and hosts Kenton Ridge in a doubleheader today at 11:00 and 1:00.
