The boys lacrosse team welcomed Beavercreek to Alumni Stadium last night and handed the Beavers an 11-2 defeat. The first quarter was very tight and neither team could get a shot past the opposing goalie for much of the period as the Elks had a 1-0 lead after one. In the second quarter, the Elks got two early goals and continued to pile it on from there as they took a 6-0 lead to the locker room. The Beavers finally got on the scoreboard late in the third quarter, but the Elks were comfortably in front, 8-1, heading to the final 12 minutes. The Beavers scored first in the fourth quarter before the Elks scored the final three goals of the night to account for the final score. In the opening game of the night, the JV squad played excellent defense en route to a 10-0 shutout victory.
Now 5-5 on the year, the boys are right back in action tomorrow night when they travel to Wyoming High School in Cincinnati to take on the Cowboys. The JV game gets underway at 5:30 and will be followed by the varsity at 7:30.
