Varsity Girls Lacrosse · Girls Lacrosse Wins on Senior Night

On Friday night at Alumni Stadium, the varsity girls lacrosse team welcomed Miamisburg for Senior Night.  In a pregame ceremony on the field, eleven seniors and their families were honored for their hard work and dedication over the years.

Following the ceremony, the girls went to work right away and left no doubt as to what the outcome would be as they cruised to a 16-2 win.  The team played great defense and took advantage of almost every scoring opportunity en route to the win.  In the first game of the night, the JV team finished off an amazing 12-1 season with an  equally impressive 13-2 win.

The girls conclude the regular season with a 10-5 record by winning five of their last six games.

They now turn their attention to Lakota East tonight in the first ever OHSAA State Tournament.  That game will be played at Lakota East High School with the start time set for 7:00 PM.  This is a rematch from a game played earlier in the year.  In that contest, the Thunderhawks beat the Elks, 8-4.

Good luck, ladies!
