Elks News · Girls and Boys Bowling Teams Both Advance to State

The sign of a great team is being able to grind thru adversity and find a way to advance when things are not going directly as planned.  The girls varsity bowling team did just that at Districts on Wednesday coming from behind to finish 5th to take the final spot that qualified for State. The boys followed suit on Thusday and came from behind to finish 4th. Each of these teams really focused towards the end to advance. We may not have bowled as a team to our potential but we did manage to advance and that is the most important thing.

Junior Payton Watson finished with a 695 series to come in 2nd overall! Sophomore Wally Jaber rolled a 714 series to finish 4th overall at Districts!

This week the boys will bowl Friday at 10 am at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in the OHSAA State Championship. The girls will bowl Saturday at 10 am in the State Championship. These are two dangerous teams looking to peak at just the right time. Awesome job bowlers!
