The girls varsity gold golf team made the long trip to New Albany Country Club yesterday afternoon to compete in the New Albany Invitational. Facing some of the better teams in the state from the Columbus area, the girls finished in third place. They were led by sensational senior Marissa Wenzler, who fired a 75 to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. Sophomore Meha Pandya also had a memorable day as she aced the 107-yard 5th hole.
The girls are back in action next Monday morning when they travel to NCR Country Club to compete in the Alter Invite. Tee time is set for 10:00 AM.
