The girls varsity soccer team welcomed the Lebanon Warriors to Alumni Stadium tonight for a GWOC crossover contest on Youth Night.
The visiting Warriors got on the board first when they scored with 13 minutes left in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. The Elks responded with a goal six minutes later by Sidney Kemp to knot it up at a goal apiece. Not backing down, the Warriors found the back of the net with a minute remaining to take a 2-1 lead at halftime. Neither team could score in the second half and Lebanon left town with a huge, 2-1, win over the Lady Elks, their first loss of the season.
In the opening game of the night, the JV A team crushed the Warriors, 7-0. The JVB team was also in action tonight as they traveled to Beavercreek High School where they tied the host Beavers, 2-2.
The girls are back in action on Monday night in a varsity only match which begins at 7:00 PM at Wayne High School. This is the rescheduled game from the bad weather we experienced last Wednesday.
