Boys Soccer Varsity saved their best for last, as they defeated the #4 State Ranked and defending Division I State Champion Beavercreek Beavers on the road to win the GWOC National East Division. After a scoreless first half, the Elks went ahead on a goal by Griffin Shockley following a pass from Ryan Forino. The Busy Beavers fought back and tied the game with 13 minutes left off a corner kick. The winning goal came with under 3 minutes left in the game, when Ryan Forino took a Cole Zengel pass into open space and beat the Creek goalkeeper in a one-on-one. Final Score: Centerville 2, Beavercreek 1. Pandemonium ensued, as the Elks beat the Beavers for the first time since 2015 and won their first outright division championship since the 2010 State Finalist team. The Elks snap a 2-game losing streak and finish the regular season with a record of 12-2-2 and 7-0-1 in the GWOC.
In the earlier game, JVA wrapped up their season at Beavercreek. The Beavers scored 2 goals in the first half, one of which was from an off-side position. During the second half, Rohan Dhingra scored on a penalty kick, but a second goal eluded the Elks as time ran out, ending the game in a 2-1 deficit. The JVA guys end the season with a respectable record of 10-4-1 and 8-1-0 in the GWOC.
