Varsity/Reserve Girls Cross Country · Centerville Girls XC Fifth at Districts, Advance to Regionals!

The Centerville girls cross country team continued on their road to state this past Saturday in the OHSAA Southwest District Cross Country Championship Race at Cedarville University, where the top eight teams across the finish line advance to Regionals next weekend.  Centerville secured a fifth place finish with a tight pack of runners who showed their grit and determination in post-season racing with two PRs (personal records) and one SB (season best) time among them.

Finishing times and places for CGXC were as follows:

  • Maddie Little, 20:19 (24th)
  • Dalia Einstein, 20:27 (26th)
  • Emma O’Brien, 20:30, (30th) – PR
  • Hannah Mangen, 20:32 (31st) – SB
  • Claire Maxwell, 20:37 (36th)
  • Kalie Adrian, 20:39 (39th) – PR

Congratulations to the Centerville Boys Cross Country team for their strong second place finish which won them one of the two District championships on the same Cedarville course on Saturday!

Both Centerville Girls and Boys Cross Country advance to compete in Regionals next Saturday in a challenging run along the levee in Troy, OH.  The Girls Regional Division I Championship race begins at 3:00pm and the boys run at 12:30pm.  Come out and support your Elk runners!
