The boys and girls bowling teams made the trip to Eastern Lanes in Lebanon tonight to face the Warriors in an early season GWOC crossover match. The Elks were looking to stay unbeaten and on top of the NL East race and did just that.
The varsity boys, behind a balanced scoring attack, beat the host Warriors, 2,553-2,352. Max Borneman led the way with a 445 and Ian Dobran was right on his heels with a 443. Mason Eckley (423) and Ryan Caro (419) also had great nights for the Elks.
The varsity girls rolled to a 2,130-1,771 win. Kaylie Sipes led the way with a 437. Payton Watson added a 412 and Erika Taylor rolled a 408 as the Elks remained unbeaten on the year in league play.
Both JV teams were victorious tonight as well with the boys winning, 1,805-1,574, and the girls coming out on top, 1,456-1,354.
Now 2-0 in league play on the year, the Elks return to action on Friday night when they travel to Thunderbowl Lanes to take on Northmont in another crossover match. Action in Englewood gets underway at 4:00 PM.
