Varsity Boys Baseball · Baseball Edges Lebanon at Prasco Park

The varsity baseball team traveled to Prasco Park in Fairfield on Friday night for a “home” game against the Lebanon Warriors.  The Elks and Warriors are two of the better teams in the GWOC so the boys knew they would have to play well in order to remain unbeaten in league play.

Behind the right arm of Sinclair-bound senior Jared Lieberman, who threw a complete game five hitter, the Elks edged the Warriors, 5-3.  Fellow senior Morgan Colopy led the offense with a double and two R.B.I.’s as the Elks remained unbeaten in league play.

Down in Lebanon, the JV team beat the Warriors, 10-6, while the freshman team lost a shootout, 23-13.

With the win, the Elks improved to 10-3 overall and 6-0 in league play.
