Varsity Boys Black Tennis, Varsity Boys Gold Tennis · Tennis Has Another Strong Weekend

The boys varsity gold tennis team traveled to Louisville this weekend to compete in the Derby City Champions.  On Friday night, the boys lost their first round matches, but rebounded to win three of their five second round matches and followed that up on Saturday by winning three of their five matches on Saturday as well.

On Friday night, the varsity black team fell to a very good Sycamore Green team at home, 5-0, while the JV gold team dropped their first match of the season to the Aviators, 3-2.

On Saturday, the JV team traveled to Kercher Park to compete in the Valley View Invitational.  All seven players advanced to the championship round as the Elks went on to take the team title.

Tonight, the JV and varsity black teams travel to Wilmington High School while varsity gold hosts Walnut Hills in the second round of the OTCA State Team Tournament here at CHS.  All three matches begin at 4:00 PM.
