Last night was a busy night for the varsity girls golf teams as both were in action against Springboro and Oakwood. Varsity gold hosted the Panthers at Yankee Trace while black traveled to Dayton Country Club to take on Oakwood. Both teams came out on top by significant margins as well.
Varsity gold was led by junior Meha Pandya, who shot an even par 36. She was joined in the team scoring by Morgan Rodgers and Amelia Burger, who both shot a 2-over par 38 and Kate Dickerson, who added a 39. Their team score of 151 easily outdistanced the panthers, who shot a 178.
Varsity black was led by Abi Haywood, who carded a 47 and Catherine Tollefson, who shot a 49. Their team score of 199 gave them a 16-stroke victory over the host Lumberjacks, who fired a 215.
Gold is back in action tomorrow morning when they travel to Brookside Country Club to compete in the Upper Arlington Invite for a 9:00 AM tee time while black returns to Dayton Country Club to compete in the Oakwood 9-hole invite with a 3:15 tee time.
