Varsity Girls Black Golf, Varsity Girls Gold Golf · Girls Varsity Golf Teams Compete in Tournaments

Thursday was a day of tournament play for both of the girls varsity golf teams.

Gold started the day off by traveling to Brookside Country Club in Columbus to compete in the Lady Polar Bear Invite hosted by Upper Arlington High School.  This was a great barometer for the girls to see where they are as we head toward postseason play.  Meha Pandya led the Elks with an 81.  She was joined in the team scoring by Jenna Hayes (82), Mo Rodgers (85) and Kate Dickerson (88).  Their team score of 336 placed them 6th overall in the field.

Black played later in the day at the Oakwood 9-Hole Invite.  The girls placed two in the top five of the tournament led by Rachel Krause, who’s 43 earned her a third place overall finish, and Catherine Tollefson, who’s 45 earned her a fifth place overall spot.  The team shot a 194 overall and finished as runner-up in the tournament.

Finally, the JV team was also in action yesterday at Yankee Trace.  The girls hosted Alter and dropped a heartbreaking, 221-222 decision.

Gold is right back at it tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati to compete in the St. Angela Merici Invite hosted by Bishop Fenwick High School.  Tee time Saturday afternoon is set for 2:00 PM.
