Varsity Girls Volleyball · Girls Volleyball Stretches Winning Streak to 12

The varsity girls volleyball team has been on quite a roll since dropping a pair of matches in Kentucky on Saturday, August 31.  Limping out of that weekend with a 4-3 record did not faze this team and they have rebounded quite nicely since.  Last night, they welcomed the Wayne Warriors to CHS and handed them a straight set loss to extend their winning streak to 12 straight.  After a bit of a slow start in the first set, the girls rolled to wins of  25-11, 25-9 and 25-12.  The freshman and JV teams also swept the Warriors in straight sets, winning both matches, 2-0.  The freshman won, 25-11, 25-10 and the JV won, 25-20 and 25-16.

Now 16-3 overall and 10-0 in league play, the girls are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they hit the road for a big one.  They are heading to Toledo to take on St. Ursula Academy, currently ranked fourth in the state in Division I.  The freshman game gets underway at 11, the JV at noon and the varsity at approximately 1:00.
