Going into the OHSAA tournament draw with a 10-10 record following an up and down regular season typically does not bode well for a team when it comes to voting. However, the respect Coach Cupps and his program has garnered over the years coupled with the brutally difficult schedule the team played caught more than enough of the coach’s attention resulting in the Elks being overwhelmingly voted as the top seed.
The coaches decided to enter the Dayton 2 sectional bracket and awaited their opponent throughout the draw. The Tecumseh Arrows, the #20 seed, will be the Elks first opponent on Saturday, February 22 at 5:00 at Butler High School. If the Elks win, they will advance to the second round where they would face #21 seed Fairborn at a site, time and date TBD.
Presale tickets for their first game at Butler are on sale in the HS Athletic Office for $6. All tickets at the gate the night of the game are $7. If we sell 25 or more in advance, we get to keep 50% of the sales. We do not receive any money from tickets sold at the gate.
