Elks News · “Send Off” Planned In Support Of Boys Basketball As They Head To UD Arena For State Tourney

Our Varsity Boys Basketball team has made the state Final Four for the first time in school history. They play this Saturday March 20th. We are organizing a community “send-off” to show our support. Please join us at 2:30pm along the bus route to send the team off with the spirit and Elk Pride that make Centerville special. Bring your family and wish the team good luck! Signs and noise-makers are encouraged but please be mindful of the community around us.

The bus will depart Centerville High School at 3:00pm on Saturday March 20th so please arrive to your send-off spot early. We are reserving the high school campus for current CHS students/families only. Everyone else may line-up somewhere along the bus route to show their support.  We are asking everyone to please be mindful of all state mandates and health department protocols. Please stay socially distanced, within your family-group, and off the streets and private property.

BUS ROUTE: The bus will depart CHS at 3:00pm with a police escort. (Please do not follow the bus. Any drivers behind the bus must adhere to normal traffic law, lights, signs, etc…) The bus will leave the CHS Athletic Entrance, travel through the parking lot towards the baseball field, around the school driveway, LEFT ON FRANKLIN STREET, and RIGHT ON 48. The send-off must end no later than the Bob Evans on 48.

Thank you everyone for helping us “send-off” our Boys Basketball team with energy and spirit. If you have any questions, please contact Brent Ullery in the Athletic Office at brent.ullery@Centerville.k12.oh.us.

Huge Thank you to Brent Ullery and Sherry Monaghan for all your work in putting this together.  Let’s show our Elk Pride as our boys head across town to play in the State Tournament.
