Elks News · Elk Athletics In Full Swing Tuesday Night

On Tuesday night we had it rocking here on the campus of Centerville High School. Our JV boys and girls track teams hosted Fairmont, Lebanon and Springboro in the stadium, boys varsity gold and black tennis hosted Oakwood on the CHS tennis courts and varsity baseball hosted St. Ignatius HS in a battle of two highly state ranked programs. Over at Alumni stadium the varsity lacrosse team hosted Tippeconoe. Boys volleyball was on the road at Beavercreek.

The tennis teams split with Oakwood the the varsity Gold squad falling 2-3 and the Varsity Black squad winning 3-2. The JV Black squad lost at Oakwood 2-3.

Varsity Baseball beat St Ignatius 7-3. Sr. Kyle Mahon threw 4 1/3 innings and allowed only 1 run. Anton Mere closes it and gets the save. Jake Paulick had a 2B and 2 RBI. Elks are now 4-1 on the season.

Last night at Creek in boys volleyball: Centerville JVB beat Beavercreek JVB 2-0, 25-7, 26-24. Beavercreek JVA beat Centerville JVA 2-1, 15-25, 25-21, 25-27.  Centerville Varsity beat Beavercreek Varsity 3-2 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 21-25, 15-6.

In varsity girls lacrosse the Elks beat Tippecanoe 20-7.
