Swimming and Diving Have Strong Showing in Southwest Coaches Classic

Centerville Swim and Dive had a great showing this weekend at the Southwest Ohio Coaches Classic – the largest High School Swim Meet in the nation with over 3000 swimmers and divers competing! The Girls Team finished an impressive 4th overall while the Boys had a strong 6th place overall. Centerville’s results from finals were:

Boys/Girls Varsity Bowling Both Finish 3rd at Baker Bash

On Monday the boys and girls varsity bowling teams both finished a respectable 3rd place at the Baker Bash held at Beaver-Vu.  Both team are back in action on Tuesday January 21st at Thunder Lanes against Northmont beginning at 4:00 pm.

Boys Varsity Basketball Drops Game at FTTH

The boys varsity basketball team shot the ball poorly on Sunday and Massillon Jackson was good enough to make the Elks pay and defeated the Elks 67-49 at Trent Arena in the FTTH Showcase.  Junior Joey Weingartner led the Elks with 27 points.  The boys are back in action on Tuesday January 21st at Trent

Girls Varsity Basketball Drops Game at Classic in the Country

The varsity girls basketball team shot the ball poorly at Berlin(Hiland) High School on Saturday in the Classic in the Country basketball showcase against a very tough Millersburg West Holmes team and lost 41-30.  West Holmes is 15-0 and ranked #1 in D-II and proved they are very deserving of that ranking.  Junior Shannon Coffee

Competition Cheer Wins Springboro Cheer Competition

The varsity competition cheer squad walked away from Springboro Sunday as the champion of their division as well as grand championship of the entire competition.  This squad has made it a habit of sweeping each competition that they have attended.  The team is back in action on Sunday January 26th at 3:00 pm in the

Gymnastics Makes it 3 for 3 with Win at Comet Classic

The gymnastics team remained perfect on the season with their straight win at a tournament by winning the Comet Classic held at Mason on Saturday.  To say the girls are on a roll would be an understatement.  Girls are back in action at the Troy invite on Monday January 20th at 10:30 am.

Hockey Finishes 2nd in MLK Tourney

The varsity hockey team went 2-1-1 in the MLK tourney held at Chiller North in Columbus over the weekend.  The Elks tied Olentangy 2-2, beat Southview 7-1, beat Thomas Worthington 10-3, and lost in the final to Springboro 4-0.  The Elks are back in action at Hobart Arena at 7:00 pm vs Troy on Friday

Varsity Boys Basketball Beats Fairmont on Friday

Varsity boys basketball beat Fairmont at home 65-47 on Friday.  The Elks were led by Senior Jared Weyler with 16 points and Junior Kyle Dodson with 15 points.  The Elks are now 10-4 overall and 5-1 in the league.  The JV team won 58-38 and the Freshmen Gold won 45-44.  The Varsity Elks play Sunday

Courtney Sipes Sets Record!

Congratulations to sophomore bowler Courtney Sipes who bowled a 298 to become the single game record holder at CHS.  The girls team went on to beat Springfield 2483-1682.  The varsity boys beat Springfield 2266-2169.  The teams are back in action on Monday January 20th at Beaver-Vu in the Baker Bash Tournament beginning at 11:00 am.
