Baseball Blanks Springfield in GWOC Opener

The varsity baseball team won their GWOC opener over Springfield last night, 15-0.  Senior Seth Pritchett fired a complete game with four strikeouts and no walks.  Juniors Alex Firsdon and Daulton Miller both had multiple hit performances at the plate. The varsity softball team traveled to Lakota West High School to take on Hamilton Ross High School on Saturday afternoon and beat the Rams, 6-2, to improve to 2-0 on the young season.  The JV team also beat Ross, 7-4.  The games against Lakota West were cancelled. The varsity girls lacrosse team made the long trip to Chillicothe on Saturday morning where they picked up their first win of the 2016 season, 15-11.  This was a great way for the girls to start their spring break after three tough losses. The varsity baseball team traveled to Fairfield High School on Saturday to take on the Indians in a non-league match-up.  The Elks dropped a 5-2 decision.  Freshmen Nick Hoffman allowed no earned runs in 3 2/3 IP in his first career varsity start. Girls Lacrosse Falls to Kings

The varsity girls lacrosse team traveled to Kings HS on Friday night where they lost to the Knights, 13-4.  The JV team defeated Kings, 11-4. Now 0-3 on the year, the team travels to Chillicothe on Saturday morning for a varsity only game at 10:00 AM.

Boys Lacrosse Falls at Hilliard Davidson

The boys lacrosse teams traveled to Hilliard Davidson on Friday night to face off with the Columbus-area power.  The Elks battled the Wildcats, but dropped a hard-fought, 9-5 game.  The JV team also fell, 8-6. The boys volleyball program traveled to Fairfield on Thursday and swept the Indians. The varsity won 3-0, Junior Varsity won 2-0, and Freshmen won 2-1. The varsity is now 3-1 and on a roll!. The Varsity Boys Gold Tennis team beat Chaminade on the road Thursday 4-0 to start the season 2-0. The JV team beat Miami Valley School 3-0 at home. Varsity Gold and Junior Varsity squads are back in action at home Tuesday April 5th vs. Sidney at 4:00 pm.
