CHS Athletics Moving Forward With Weight Room Fundraising Efforts

 Weight Room Sponsorship Opportunities                 The desire to improve has led Athletic Director Rob Dement to evaluate where CHS Athletics currently stands and to improve on that high level of success.  During the last two and one-half years, Mr. Dement has met with staff, coaches, community members, and alumni to prioritize areas that need improvement. 

Girls Lacrosse Falls at Loveland

The varsity girls lacrosse team traveled to Loveland on Thursday night and were blitzed in the first half, 12-1.  They recovered after that and played a much more competitive second half, but still fell to the Tigers, 16-4.  With the loss, the team is now 3-5-1 on the year. Varsity Black Tennis Blanks Fairborn

The boys varsity black tennis team beat Fairborn tonight, 5-0 to run their record to 5-3.  They return to action Saturday in the MVTCA Coach’s Cup. The JV team defeated Fairborn today, 3-0.  They host Columbus Academy tomorrow.

Green Wave Hand Elks First Loss

The varsity softball team dropped their first game of the season tonight when they fell on the road to perennial state power Greenville, 2-1.  They are now 16-1 on the year and will return to action on Monday when they travel to Fairmont to face the Firebirds. The varsity boys volleyball team beat Fairborn at home on Thursday 3-0.  The Elks are back in action at the Varsity Elite Tournament hosted by the Elks on Saturday April 26th at 10:00 am.  Come on out and watch some great volleyball.

Softball Slips Past Seton

The varsity softball team traveled to Delhi Park in Cincinnati tonight to face Seton.  It was a close, intense battle the entire night, but the Elks were able to squeeze across the only run of the night and stay unbeaten with a 1-0 win.  Alyssa Samborsky and Mollie Paulick combined to pitch the shutout. Tennis Teams Enjoy Great Night

The CHS boys tennis teams enjoyed a great night on the courts. The varsity gold team defeated Chaminade-Julienne at home, 5-0, while the varsity black team won at Bishop Fenwick, 3-2. The JV teams defeated Fenwick at home tonight, 3-2, and also won at C-J, 5-0, to raise their record to 8-1.

Varsity Tennis Teams Split Their Matches

The boys varsity gold tennis team overwhelmed Northmont last night, 5-0 to remain undefeated in GWOC Central play.  They host C-J tonight.
