Diamond Finishes 3rd at State Tournament

Senior Matthew Diamond finished his bowling career at CHS in fine fashion by bowling a 690 series in Columbus on Friday to claim 3rd place individually and earn a spot on the first-team all-state team.  Matthew will be taking his bowling talents to the University of Pikeville, KY in the fall.  Congratulations to Matthew on

Diamond Qualifies for State

Senior Matthew Diamond qualified as an individual to the State Bowling Championships for the second consecutive year and will bowl on Friday March 7th in Columbus.  The boys team finished 10th and did not qualify as a team.  The girls team will bowl on Saturday.  Good Luck to our bowlers!

Varsity Girls Bowling Claims District Championship

The varsity girls bowling team won the District Championship on Wednesday at Beaver-Vu Lanes with a 2-point margin over runner-up Beavercreek, 4,172-4,170.  Sophomore Megan Cook led the Lady Elks with a 681 series.  The team now returns to the State Tournament for the first time since 2011 where they will compete on Saturday, March 8

Girls Varsity Bowling Advances to Districts

The varsity girls bowling team finished a strong 3rd place at the Sectional Tournament on Thursday easily qualifying to the District Tournament which will be held on Wednesday February February 26th at 9:00 am at Beaver-Vu.  No scores were reported so I apologize for not being able to provide highlights.  Good luck at Districts girls!

Boys/Girls Varsity Bowling Shine at GWOC Post-Season Tourney

Matthew Diamond Rolling To University of Pikeville

Sr. Matthew Diamond is utilizing his bowling skills to continue his education at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.  Matthew will pursue a degree in Business Administration beginning in the Fall of 2014 at Pikeville.  Congratulations to Matthew, his family, and his coaches on this tremendous accomplishment.

Boys/Girls Varsity Bowling Both Finish 3rd at Baker Bash

On Monday the boys and girls varsity bowling teams both finished a respectable 3rd place at the Baker Bash held at Beaver-Vu.  Both team are back in action on Tuesday January 21st at Thunder Lanes against Northmont beginning at 4:00 pm.

Courtney Sipes Sets Record!

Congratulations to sophomore bowler Courtney Sipes who bowled a 298 to become the single game record holder at CHS.  The girls team went on to beat Springfield 2483-1682.  The varsity boys beat Springfield 2266-2169.  The teams are back in action on Monday January 20th at Beaver-Vu in the Baker Bash Tournament beginning at 11:00 am.
