Wrestling Wins GWOC Central and Overall GWOC Title

The varsity wrestling team competed in the 18-team Greater Western Ohio Conference Championships held on Friday and Saturday at Trent Arena in Kettering. Wrestlers Finish as Regional Runner-Ups in State Team Duals

The varsity wrestling team traveled to Fairfield High School on Wednesday night to compete in the OHSAA Region 7 Team Dual Semifinals and Finals. Wrestler’s Overcome Tremendous Odds to Advance in State Duals

The varsity wrestling team entered the Regional Quarterfinals at Trent Arena with quite a bit of adversity to overcome to advance out of that bracket. The Elks embraced this adversity and responded with a dramatic victory over Fairmont to advance to the Regional Semi-Finals next Wednesday February 3rd at a site yet to be determined.

The varsity wrestling team claimed the Battle of Far Hills traveling trophy earlier this year from Fairmont and then on the road Thursday the team claimed the Champions Cup traveling trophy from the Beavercreek Beavers in a competitive dual with a 38-27 victory. Dobson Earns Prestigious Honor

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Wednesday the state-by-state winners of its second annual High School Coach of the Year award for cross country.  Centerville Girls Cross Country coach David Dobson, pictured far left, was named the Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year for the state of Ohio.
